Diner by THE IZAKAYA NYC x Nowadays

On the 5th anniversary of THE IZAKAYA NYC, we opened our outpost restaurant inside of Nowadays with a new “family-restaurant" concept. (A ‘famiresu’ is a Japanese family friendly restaurant that serves a wide variety of food, kind of like Japanese diner.)

The force behind THE IZAKAYA NYC team, Yudai and Keisuke, always loved to eat at casual diners but always wished food to be little more delicious. We thought offering diner food, something familiar to people here such as burgers and other bar foods like wings – but making them better with carefully sourced ingredients and incorporating some serious cooking skill by an experienced Japanese chef.
